This is as great mixer as most people already know. I LOVE the color of this mixer and I am so pleased with all the choices that are available. It so much fun to see how fast this will mix up recipes and sooo much fun to make your own whipped cream in seconds. It is also so easy to switch out the attachments and looks great my counter, and I am not a fan of counter clutter.

  • The things I really like about this refrigerator which we have had for about three years are:

I really like the freezer on the bottom. I’m in the fridge more than the freezer and don’t have to bend down to access the fridge. The freezer has a large (huge) basket with a smaller divided pull-out one on the top. The ice cube maker works fantastically.

I really like having the water dispenser on the inside wall of the fridge. The refrigerator maintains its sleek look but I still have access to filtered water.

I really like there is a shelf that pulls out making it easy to reach things stuffed towards the back.

I like that I can adjust the other shelves height.

I like the larger drawer below the two crisper drawers. We keep cheeses and lunch meats in it. Again, very accessible.

I like the big roomy size of the door shelves. They accommodate a full gallon jug of milk.

I like the stainless steel look but it does require maintenance because fingerprints are forever appearing on the front.

This KitchenAid mixer is an excellent investment! I just love mine! The dough hook attachment is the greatest invention ever. No more kneading! I used this wonderful machine to make 4 pounds of Pizza Geina dough without breaking a sweat. Add your ingredients, turn it on and it does the rest! It has a very powerful motor and every part of this mixer is excellent quality and well made. It is simple to lock in the mixing bowl and it is also a breeze to clean. The different attachments are very easy to attach and remove. It would be impossible not to love it! Did I mention how easy the clean up is? I love it so much I bought the KitchenAid quilted cover for it. Once you use this mixer you will never want to use anything else! The Best!!!

  • Glad to read this blog! Keep it going!

I finally replaced my 18 year old Sunbeam mixer with this incredible KitchenAid machine and I am in heaven! I’ve rekindled my interest in cooking and have purchased a number of KitchenAid attachments for it and am tickled pink with the results. It’s great to be able to set something to mix and be able to walk away and work on getting the next part of the recipe ready. I love the job it does kneading, too! The mixer size is just right…not to big…not too small. Initially I went a little wild and ordered one size up from this only to get downstairs and measure and realize that it was not going to fit on the counter under my wall cabinets. Came back up to the computer, cancelled that and ordered the Artisan instead. What a machine!

After yearning for one of these for the past 2 years, my husband suprised me with this one yesterday! He even knew I wanted the one with the glass bowl. I have been reading reviews, and specs and everything related to this mixer, but could never justify spending so much…but recently I have taken on baking and I was getting frustrated with my hand mixer and the long periods of time I was taking to get everything mixed and ready to go. I think my husband picked up on the frustration and finally caved in. I carefully read all the manuals before I used this and used the dime trick: (details for this can be found at the following user review) [...]. I wanted to make sure the mixer head was aligned and that the attachments weren’t striking the bowl before engaging in any baking activity. Everything was good to go, so I started with a batch of peanut butter cookies. It was effortless creaming the shortening, sugar and peanut butter. When the flour went in there was no bogging or slowing this beast down…it was awesome! This mixer is hands down the gold standard of baking. When it comes to looks this thing is a beauty! So shiny and blue and retro. If you have been waiting to get one of these like I was don’t hesitate…for all the money you spend its value will be in the ease of baking and time that you save in the kitchen. Highly recommend!!!

  • About me. Aircraft technician for 23 years, I love to cook, I am a perfectionist and, I hate cheap tools. I purchased this mixer as a to me gift for christmas. On New Years day I thought I would break it in by baking a red velvet cake. While mixing the light and fluffy frosting I heard something let loose in the mixer and in a instant there was a spark and than the circut breaker blew. Well I was able to frost my cake and than my attention was turned to this 200 dollar tool I had purchased. I reset the circuit breaker and atempted to run the mixer. It kind of ran but I could tell there was something other than my fluffy frosting holding the 350 watt motor back. Having had alot of expereance taking things apart and being very curious I had to take a look at what made the thing tick. I removed the back cover and it became very clear that this is not the Kitchen Aid stand mixer my mother used to make two cakes a week with when I was a kid. You would think that for over 200 dollars the machine would have some sort of solid state speed control. I was very surprised to see a very cheap looking reostat devise that looks like it came out of my old electric race car set speed controller that I had as a kid. What a disapointmant. The part that came apart was some sort of spring roller clip on the motor shaft. When it let loose it got stuck in the reostat and shorted the thing out. The reasons I am writting this review are 1. This mixer has almost a five star satisfaction rating. This rating influenced my purchase. 2. Kitchen Aid is living off an American made tradition of high quality. This mixer is not American made and the quality is low. 3. As a consumer I am tired of companies main concern being the bottom line. I would gladly pay more for solidstate construction. In conclusion this mixer may do the job its intended to do but don’t be surpised if it breaks down. After all why would there be so many remanufactored units for sale if there wasn’t a quality problem. Amazon . com will be getting this unit back and hopefully the replacement will hold together a little longer than the first.

I have tried MANY cheap mixers, both stand and hand held. This mixer, is by far, the best I have ever used and on the market. If you’re thinking of trying a KitchenAid mixer, don’t delay and order today!
I got at an excellent price here on Amazon and in record time. I ordered it late Wed. night and got it Friday morning! I am very pleased with not only the mixer but the service.

Got a great buy on this larger size stand mixer from Amazon. I was not sure if I need this large a size, but for the money it was definitely worth it! I am not a professional baker, but I do make wedding and birthday cakes for family and sometimes I need to make a lot of frosting so I figured why not. You can make so many things with this, and it feels almost like your cheating when your doing your baking! It basically does all the work. The machine is very quiet when your operating it, and it looks nice and sleek and performs wonderfully. The only drawback to this machine is that it is so large you have to move it back and forth on the counter top because it does not fit well underneath when you actually are using it- and to move it, it is very heavy- if you have problems with your hands or arms, this would not be the machine for you. Besides that fact, I would recommend this product highly.

If you want to make $10-$150/hour and up to $3500/month of your time working at

    Here’s why:

“Businesses need ME! They’re paying me money – CASH – to a

    Guess what?

    They also need YOU!

I’m not a marketing expert or a sales gal. In fact, I know very
little about business. But I do know exactly what I like and what
I don’t like. I know what products I would buy and what services
    I would use.

Guess what? This is exactly what large companies are paying me
for. They need to know what their average customer needs and
wants. So these companies pay millions of dollars every month to
the average person. In return, the average person, myself

I’ve been in food service for twenty years and have used commercial mixers on a daily basis. I finally decided to buy one myself and chose the Artisan series Kitchen Aid. What a treat! It gets the job done, no messing around, no fiddling with ingredients. It’s quiet and powerful and just…does it! I’m 37 and have complete confidence in this mixer outlasting me. Is it expensive? Yes, it is. But its worth every single penny and will pay for itself, many times over.

  • CJBukes says:

I LOVE this mixer. All I had to do to set it up was plug it in. It’s simple to change between mixing tools (just twist and pull to remove, twist and push to attach), and the results are fabulous. The instruction manual looks large, but that’s just because it’s in 3 languages and contains great recepies so you can get started right away. I’ve never written a review for something I purchased online before, but this product is certainly worth it. I have wanted this mixer for years and my boyfriend finally got it for me because of the wonderful price and fast, not to mention FREE, shipping that Amazon.com offers.

  • I got my Kitchenaid Stand Mixer for Christmas 2006. I had been wanting the Pink one. So my husband bought it for me online after searching and searching for the Pink color. We found out it was not a color normally carried in the stores.
When I first got to use mine, I made a nice chocolate frosting from the cookbook that is included with the mixer. Since then I have tried making a Red Velvet Cake from scratch and a few store bought mixes. Store bought mixes are probably not the best thing to use the stand mixer for and are probably best used with a hand mixer. But so far it works nice even if the switches are somewhat stiff. Maybe they will losen up in time.
Overall…I am satified and it is a Beautiful focal point of my kitchen.

  • Baron Berwyn says:

First, the mixer works great. Everything most home-bakers could ever want. But I strongly suggest you select a smooth finish. I got the Krinkle Gray. (Don’t know if thats still available.) It looks very ‘professional’, but it’s hard to keep clean. After the first batch of bread dough, the mixer was nearly white, and it took some serious scrubbing to get the flour off the textured surface.

As to the mechanics of the mixer itself, very few complaints. The tilt-head makes it possible to remove the bowl without dismantling the beater (unlike the lift-bowl models). I mainly use the dough hook, and have found that the motor tends to bog down just a bit on extremely heavy doughs. But as I always do the final kneading by hand anyway, its not a major issue; just a little more hand work.

If I ever buy another stand mixer, it will definately be a KitchenAid. Thing is, this mixer will probably outlast me by decades.
